Northwest Pediatric Therapies is a private physical therapy practice that was founded in 1987 and specializes in pediatrics. They provide services for children from birth to young adulthood. Their pediatric physical therapists work closely with family members, physicians, schools, and daycare providers to identify, evaluate, and establish treatment objectives for children. Some children have difficulty developing motor skills and may need to work on improving coordination, balance, muscle strength, physical endurance, and motor planning. The practice helps children regain motor skills following traumatic injuries. Some of the treatment techniques used include peripheral neuromuscular rehabilitation, neurodevelopmental treatment, sensory integration, soft tissue and joint mobilization, neuromuscular rehabilitation, therapeutic strengthening and stretching exercises, balance and coordination exercises, and Kinesio and McConnell taping. The practice is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Physical Therapy Association of Washington State, and the Pediatric Special Interest Group of the PTWA.
