Jill Hollander Music
Jill Hollander Music is a vocal and piano studio in Milwaukee that welcomes enthusiasts and aspiring professional artists of any age and skill level. The owner and company namesake graduated from Lawrence University and Alverno College with degrees in vocal performance, music education, and French, and she is the daughter of internationally acclaimed concert pianist Dr. Jeffrey Hollander, who holds the distinction as one of the youngest scholars at the prestigious Eastman School of Music, and accomplished cellist and teacher Jane Hollander, who was known for her invention the "Mouse-tro Mute." Jill has been performing since age seven and has performed at the Florentine Opera Company, Shorewood Players, Sunset Playhouse, Charles Allis Art Museum, Betty Brinn Children’s Museum, and similar venues, and her favorite genres include light opera, classical, jazz, pop, and Broadway hits. Jill Hollander Music provides instruction in private and group settings, depending on the learners’ requirements and aspirations, and she offers lessons at her home studio or travels to students' homes. The facility offers an encouraging and respectful atmosphere, and the voice lessons involve theory, breathing techniques, interpretation, and individual style.
