Blue Ribbon

Focusing on a farm to table philosophy, Blue Ribbon is a Seattle-based company founded in 1995 with the goal of bringing the family back to the table with homemade meals meant to be enjoyed together. Classes focus on hands-on experience to further that aim, but they also offer larger classes for corporate team building and events, as weel as family-style catering services. Cooking classes typically last three hours and are hands-on and include appetizers on arrival and a selection of microbrews or Northwest wines and signature non-alcoholic beverages. Reservations are required and must be prepaid. They hold awards that include Best of Weddings in 2014, 2015, and 2016 by The Knot and the Loves Me Award in 2015 by Bride & Groom Seattle.

Diane’s Market Kitchen

Combining her passion for wine and food, Diane’s Market Kitchen is owned and founded by Diane LaVonne and focuses on helping others create a balance for a life of well-being and health. The company was established in 2006 after her entire life changed and left her without a home, her children, her job, and her neighborhood. Opening the kitchen with donations from local dealers and manufacturers, the space is now an intimate and state-of-the-art “home kitchen” that is used to share Diane’s culinary skills and passion for cooking. Menus are based on in-season and locally fresh items from friends at the Pike Place Market.

Eat Seattle

For a chef-led guided food tour, Eat Seattle serves the Pacific Northwest with the best tastes of Seattle’s artisan vendors of the Pike Place Market. Founded by Liz McCune after traveling through Europe with her husband, she focuses on offering the best that the Northwest has to offer. A graduate from the Paris Cordon Blue School, Liz features cuisine through a culinary lens unique to the area.

Founded by Renee Press, a self-taught chef, Fire and Earth Kitchen specializes in bringing gluten-free and vegan cooking to life since 2011. Renee and her husband Nicholas focus on bringing her passion for creating vegan meals and simplified recipes during cooking classes and as a personal chef to the Seattle area. Both originally from the East Coast, Nick and Renee are also artists that love traveling the world and are inspired by international flavors based on their adventures abroad. Their recipes are developed with a broad range of people in mind that include seasoned chefs, newbies, people with food allergies, seasoned vegans, passionate meat eaters, and more. Classes can be held for public groups, private lessons, and for corporate client groups.

Honest to Goodness Personal Chef Services

Run by a team of Seattle-based personal chefs, Honest to Goodness specializes in personal chef services and cooking classes. Founded in 2012 by Laura, the company serves the Eastside and Greater Seattle areas. Classes are interactive or demonstration-based depending on the even clients would like to hold. Classes are also completely customizable and are recommended for 12 people or less. Some of their cooking classes are available online. Laura is a member of the National Association of Catering Executives, holds the Certified Professional Catering Executive designation in 2008, holds the Best Catered Event of the Year Award in 2009, and has served as the President of the Greater Seattle area chapter of the National Association of Catering Executives.

Founder and President Naomi Kakiuchi is an expert in Asian culture and cuisine, is a registered dietician, produced the Art of Sushi DVD’s, and is a contributing author to The American Dietetic Association Cooking Across America Cookbook. They teach a variety of Asian cuisines and specialties from regions that include Asian, Pan-Asian Northwest, Philippine, Korean-Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Indian, Vietnamese, and Malaysian. Their mission focuses on integrating food into daily life to sustain ritual and culture, feature delicious and nourishing ways to prepare and enjoy food, and educate on the benefits of food for pleasure and wellness. Made famous for the French macarons classes, Paris Eastside is owned and founded by Muriel-Marguerite, a native of France that grew up in Paris. Each class at Sizzleworks is hands-on, engaging students with expert advice tailored to their individual skill level. Specializing in cuisine from the Southern states of India, Spice Route was founded by Mr. Thanu after moving to the United States and noticing a lack of dining options in the area during the 1990’s. The restaurant is one of five Indian restaurants in the area that serve Southern Indian cuisine. Their vegan Indian cooking classes are held in Bellevue and feature dishes rooted in age-old culinary traditions.

A self-proclaimed fast food sushi restaurant founded in 2004, Sushi Kudasai focuses on providing quick and convenient quality sushi and Japanese favorites that are satisfying and hearty. They also offer sushi classes where clients learn how to make proper sushi in small groups or large groups for corporate events. Classes last three hours and include food materials and the tools to make sushi. Guests are required to register at least three days in advance for each class.

thyme to Nourish

A mobile company designed to come to each customer in the Seattle area, {thyme to Nourish} is a food cooking educator and chef services company.
