Campbell Learning Center is a non-profit organization providing Fine Arts instruction to students of all ages in Houston. It offers a specific program for studying the violin. One of the instructors for violin is Dr. William Cheng-Wei Hsieh. William acquired his doctoral degree from the University of Houston Moores School of Music. He regularly leads as a concertmaster with the Moores School Symphony Orchestra, Opera Orchestra, and Ballet Orchestra. Campbell offers both private and group courses.

Clear Lake Music Lessons Inc. teaches violin in the Houston area. The family-oriented group is comprised of professional musicians and teachers, and students can try out different instructors to find the perfect fit for their needs, desired style, and goals. Teachers include a graduate of the University of Cincinnati Conservatory of Music who has played with various symphonies in Michigan and a former concertmistress of the San Jacinto College Orchestra who made Symphony Region Orchestra. Dominika Dancewicz teaches the violin to Houston students. Students of all ages and levels are welcome, and past students have consistently won positions at orchestras in the state and region as well as have been accepted into colleges as music majors. Lessons incorporate technique, history, style, and message of the music with an emphasis on being fun and engaging. The owner and teacher, Dominika Dancewicz, has played chamber music around the world, including at the Berlin Philharmonic Hall with the Sinfonietta Cracovia Orchestra, at the Kennedy Center in D.C., and at Carnegie Hall in New York, and has recorded for Dux and Deutsche Grammophon labels. Ms. Dancewicz is the concertmaster of the Opera in the Heights, will lead the OH orchestra in the 2016-17 season, and teaches at the Music Preparatory Program of the University of St.Thomas. Ms. Dancewicz also provides lessons to underprivileged students via the Houston Youth Symphony Melody Program.

Music and More offers violin lessons in Friendswood. Teachers have availability for private lessons during the day, after school, and in the evening and may be able to also accommodate lessons on Saturday and Sunday. The two violin teachers are certified in the Suzuki method, utilize traditional methods as well, and typically advise lessons start in the first grade or older. Younger children can begin learning violin with the Suzuki method, but parents must be actively involved and present at all lessons. The studio also offers the award-winning Kindermusik for newborns to seven-year-olds, and this program introduces important musical concepts such as note reading and rhythm to younger students. Additional programs at Music and More include Discovery Tree, art programs for all ages, and the Forest Path Academy for homeschoolers. Nassau Bay Music Lessons brings 20 years of teaching experience to violin students in Webster. All ages, as well as all playing levels, are welcome, and teacher Ed Motter-Vlahakos focuses on technical mastery, reading, and improvisation. Students get access to different genres including traditional Irish fiddle, early-music, bluegrass, middle eastern, classical, and jazz, and students, or parents, need to contact Nassau Bay for availability and other questions. The Conservatory of Music at Cinco Ranch has been a violin learning center in Katy for almost 10 years. Private lessons for violin, as well as viola, cello, and upright bass, are available for students of all ages, and students can obtain recommendations on where to rent an instrument as well. The studio employs over 30 instructors for numerous instruments and holds over 25,000 private lessons each year with recitals taking place twice a year. The center was voted “Best Private School in Katy” in 2014 and 2015 and "Best Music Studio/Lessons in Katy" by the readers of Living Magazine, and the Conservatory also boasts being the only founding school with the Royal Conservatory Music Development Program (formerly the Carnegie Hall Royal Conservatory Achievement Program) in the Houston area.
