Detroit Recovery Project Inc. is a private non-profit group that helps individuals in Dearborn recover from abusive substance use and co-occurring mental illness. Its recovery programs include outpatient treatment and peer coaching and its support services cover cognitive nehavioral therapy, family re-integration, and employment training. It also offers prevention programs like HIV and HCV testing. President Andre L. Johnson was appointed to the SAMHSA Center for Substance Abuse Treatment National Advisory Council by the US Health of Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius.
