Business Description
Shihan Brian Sweetser and his wife Laura started Bay State Martial Arts in 2006 to provide people with high-quality martial arts training. The school strives to help each student reach their goals and focuses on developing a fun, friendly atmosphere in which people can learn but also build community connections. Shihan Sweetser remains a 7th-degree black belt and won several awards for his skills as a martial arts practitioner and teacher, including being named the 2010 Teacher of the Year by the International Black Belt Hall of Fame. Bay State Martial Arts offers classes in self-defense, Kenpo karate, and ju-jitsu. The studio serves residents of Woburn.
