Basche’s Martial Arts in Fort Wayne specializes in taekwondo classes that teach students respect, self-control, discipline, and self-defense in a way that benefits the person’s overall physical fitness. Sensei Steve Basche of Basche’s Martial Arts has more than 30 years of experience in a range of martial arts styles and since beginning training at the age of 11, has achieved the status of a fifth-degree black belt. Grand Master John Pelligrini of Basche’s Martial Arts is the founder of combat hapkido, one of the world’s most effective self-defense methods today. Grand Master Jung Soo Park is a tenth-degree black belt with more than 60 years of experience who has served as a bodyguard for presidents and as a stunt double for Pat Morita’s character, Mr. Miyagi, in the Karate Kid. Basche’s Martial Arts has four levels of classes for kids ages four to six, kids ages seven to twelve, the Black Belt Club and the Master’s Club. The school has class schedules posted on its website.
