First Class Preschool is a Colorado Springs preschool that provides an art-based and play-based curriculum. The curriculum offers emotional development, motor skills, self-esteem, cognitive development, and social skills. In the morning children choose from activities such as painting, building with blocks, sharing toys, and dramatic play. During circle time, they talk about the topic of the day, the calendar, the weather, sing songs, share their experiences, and stories. Other activities First Class Preschool offers include art projects, bike riding, hula hooping, active play, and side walk chalk. Nancy Diehl owns and operates the facility and has over 20 years of preschool teaching experience. She co-authored the book Art-Based Curriculum: Discovering the Alphabet With Imagination and Art. Parents remark on their attentiveness and creativity.
